An amazing perennial pollinator plant that can grow rapidly and outcompete other plants. Yarrow grows via rhizomes, meaning like mint, it can grow rapidly and spread in the soil and in some cases become overwhelming. Yarrow attracts many butterflies and other pollenating insects making them great for beneficial insect gardens, borders, or tree understory.

A native plant to California it has been used for hundreds of years to aid pain and reduce fevers. When dried it can be used as a styptic powder to reduce bleeding. Can be drought tolerant but does prefer regular watering. Yarrow is also used in biodynamic farming and is known as a dynamic accumulator, meaning it stores minerals and nutrients in the plant tissue.
