Luffa Sponge

Our farm grown luffa are an excellent way to take care of yourself and the environment! We grow and peel these luffa by hand. Luffa are sustainable sponges that make a great exfoliant, leaving your skin soft while removing dead skin and may promote blood circulation. All of our luffas are unbleached and may have natural variation. The best part however, is that no labor was exploited, nothing came from a container ship,  no pesticides were used on them, and no chemical dyes. Just simple straight from the Earth sponges, and when your finished? Compost them and return them to the soil!

Product Information and Ingredients: 

100% All Natural Unbleached Luffa Sponge

Sponges are pre-washed and cut to 5 inches.

Suggested uses: Use as a dry or wet sponge.

Wet: After using make sure to rinse the Luffa well and hang dry. Do not let luffas sit in standing water. If Luffas are not kept clean premature spoilage may occur or the harborage of bacteria. You may choose to bleach your Luffa to increase its longevity, instructions may be found online. We recommend routinely replacing your Luffa sponge as soon as spoilage or rot occurs. Replacing your luffa routinely may reduce the harboring of bacteria. Please avoid using on sensitive areas of the body.

Dry: As a dry brush, rub the loofah gently over your skin, the coarse fibers of the Luffa will help lift off dead skin cells before your get into the shower or anytime you choose to use it. Rub in a concentric pattern to remove dead skin, dry brushing may aid in increased blood circulation and stimulating the lymphatic system. After exfoliating you may choose to use our Calendula Infused Jojoba Oil or Chamomile Roll-On to soak into your skin and restore your natural glow! Please wash you luffa after each use to prevent the build of dead skin which may promote the growth of bacteria and fungus.
